People looking to buy home insurance from Halifax can now take advantage of a new tool on the bank's website. Customers can now chat online for instant support when purchasing their insurance. Sarah Cowx, head of marketing for Halifax home insurance, said: "We have seen a dramatic increase in the number of people completing the quote process and purchasing cover online since the webchat facility was launched. "The new facility enables people to get the support they need instantly, rather than having to abandon the quote process and telephone for help." The option of a webchat will be available either by clicking a button, or it will pop up automatically for customers if they seem to be experiencing difficulty for a long time or stay on a particular part of the website. It is hoped that it will assist Halifax in ironing out difficulties with the quote process on the website, leading to a more streamlined application form. ![]() |
