People who bank with Lloyds TSB will be able to find out their balance by sending a text message, the company has announced. Lloyd’s mobile service costs £2.50 a month.


Andrew Hagger of Moneynet.co.uk criticized the cost of the service. He said: ‘While you can get a weekly balance text sent to your phone free of charge, the services that will really help you manage your cash remotely will set you back £30 per year.’
