The Sunday Telegraph (Money and Jobs) Two of Britain’s state-backed financial institutions chose this week to launch market-leading products – one for savers and one for people looking for a mortgage. Andrew Hagger of Moneynet.co.uk, the price comparison service said: “With a maximum level of £1m and the added benefit of 100pc security courtesy of the Treasury, regardless of balance, these products will be particularly appealing to those who have concerns regarding the standard £50,000 compensation limit available for most other institutions.”
