The Times (Main) Households already struggling through the longest recession on record face yet more pressure after inflation rose sharply in October – with the expectation of a continued climb. The financial website Moneynet.co.uk found 78 per cent of variable rate accounts, excluding ISA’s, are paying interest at this level or less.
