yorkshire bank extends 5.10pc fixed rate savings bond

The Daily Telegraph (Web) Yorkshire Bank has extended their rates of up to 5.10pc on its fixed rate bonds. The interest rates range from 3.2pc on its one-year bond, 3.5pc on its two-year bond, 4.25pc on its three-year option and 5.1pc for the five-year bond. Interest is paid annually or on maturity and requires a minimum opening balance of £2,000. Andrew Hagger, spokesman from Moneynet.co.uk said that while the rates on the Yorkshire Bank deal are reasonable, with the five-year option as the most competitive, but there are better deals out there for shorter term products.
