Daily Express (Main) The January sales have extended to the world of personal finance with banks offering cheap deals on mortgages, loans and insurance for this month only. But Andrew Hagger at Moneynet.co.uk said: “Bank ‘sales’ are often little more than a gimmick. Don’t rush in and buy financial products just because they are in a sale. “Check out the competition as there may be better deals available, even though they may not be classified as a sale item.”
