Sumday Mirror (Main) Soaring inflation means savers have to make sure their money works harder than over to give them decent returns. Andrew Hagger of Moneynet.co.uk said: “The Bank of England rate-cutting policy may have been the right course of action at the time, but with base rate stuck fast since last March, savers are getting a raw deal all round.”
