The Daily Mirror (Main) Savers are on course for more bad news amid fears the 100% guarantee on Northern Rock accounts may be about to disappear. Marks & Spencer has just launched a Flexi Cash ISA at 2.65% variable, including 1.25% bonus for 18 months, while First Directs Cash e-ISA offers an even better return of 2.75% fixed until August 2011. Andrew Hagger of Moneynet.co.uk said: “Both accounts will appeal to people who haven’t opened a cash ISA this tax year.”
