Sunday Telegraph (Money and Jobs) – 17th February 2009 More than half of the population are so worried about becoming a victim of fraud that they refuse to shop online. The research, conducted by CyberSource, a company specialising in electronic payments, said that one in three respondents knew of someone who had been a victim of fraud. Andrew Hagger, spokesman for Moneynet.co.uk said; ‘Prepaid credit cards allow such people to be part of the modern day ‘plastic culture’ which allows you to take advantage of online shopping discounts as well as access to hugely popular sites such as eBay.’ |
