savers benefit as inflation falls

Timesonline.co.uk – 17th February 2009 Inflation fell in January, giving some respite to hard-pressed savers struggling to get a real return on their money. The average savings account with a £500 balance now pays just 1 per cent, research from price comparison site Moneynet.co.uk shows. A typical cash Isa with a £3600 balance pays just 1.63 per cent. |
