santander fires starting gun in annual dash for isa cash

The Observer (Main) After suffering months of terrible interest rates on cash Isa’s, savers have a glimmer of good things to come with the launch of a range of products. Santander has fired the first shot in this years ISA war by launching a market-leading cash account with a guaranteed interest rate of 3.5% for a year. Andrew Hagger of comparison site Moneynet.co.uk described it as an attractive deal which he hopes will “spur other Isa providers to retaliate.”
