The Daily Telegraph (Main) Middle-income families face being £1,000 worse off a year amid “savage” rises in the cost of living and slow wage growth, it was disclosed yesterday. Andrew Hagger of Moneynet.co.uk said: “When higher interest rates are used to combat inflation it could get very messy very quickly.”
