In case the worse happens, households mustn’t economise by dropping ‘cheap as chips’ life cover, says Richard Brown at personal finance website Moneynet.co.uk. He noted a dramatic fall in demand for life cover in June and July, possibly because energy bills, rising petrol prices and repayments of personal loans are grabbing a growing share of household budgets. Says Mr Brown “Homeowners with young children could leave themselves very vulnerable by ignoring this basic cover.” Enquiries: 0208 460 2833 and www.moneynet.co.uk.
